Dena's Background and Experience

Dena Allen is a graduate of UCLA (1990) and received her law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1994. 


She received 40 hours of mediation training in 2005 and completed collaborative law training in 2007, 2008 & 2009.  Dena also serves on the Board of Directors for Spokane County Collaborative Professionals, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to educate the public and facilitate access to the collaborative law process.


Dena has been a speaker for continuing legal education seminars in 2010, 2011 and 2012 on subjects including adoption, estate administration procedures and family law.  She also enjoys serving as an adjunct instructor for the paralegal program at Spokane Community College approximately every other year teaching introductory and advanced family law skills and techniques and estate administration.


Dena is a contributing author to the Handbook for Washington Seniors:  Legal Rights and Resources (1st ed. 2012) on the topic of divorce law for elders.
